An area on Lost Nation Road in Willoughby was closed off in response to what police are calling a “situation.”
Around 12:30 p.m., Willoughby Police officers responded to the 2800 block of Lost Nation Road to help a Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy who was trying to make contact with a 70-year-old woman after a domestic dispute, police said.
According to police, the woman pulled out a gun and threatened to hurt herself and the deputy.
Officers tried to negotiate with the woman, but she continued to threaten to hurt herself or anyone who entered the back bedroom, which she had closed herself in, police said…
