St. Gregory Parish School is celebrating a major achievement after its preschool was named Erie’s Choice 2025 for Best Preschool and North East’s Best Preschool 2025. In addition, Principal MariCarol Schoenfeldt received the title of North East’s Best Principal for 2025. The school expressed deep gratitude to families and community members for their support.
For more than 80 years, St. Gregory’s has been a cornerstone of the North East community, offering a nurturing, faith-based education from preschool through eighth grade. The preschool program serves as the foundation for this journey, helping children ages 3–5 develop academic skills, social confidence, and a love of learning in a caring environment.
At the heart of the award-winning program are educators Lauren Rogus, Lead Preschool Teacher, and Megan Spencer, Preschool Aide. Rogus, a Mercyhurst College graduate, has spent four years creating a warm, engaging classroom where every child feels valued.
