Highlands-area shoppers might want to keep an eye on their wallets as a local retail store on Dunn Avenue was hit not once, but twice in a single day by bold thieves. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is seeking public help after the store experienced these unusual back-to-back thefts.
The first incident occurred at approximately 1:57 p.m., when an individual entered the establishment, swiftly selected an impact drill and a tool combo kit, and departed unnoticed into a waiting white box truck—a vehicle notably marked by the absence of a tag and the presence of passenger side damage, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Hours later, a separate incident unfolded at around 6:25 p.m. where a different man targeted a generator, quickly removing it from the premises and absconding in a white pickup truck.
