ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A man has been found guilty of second-degree murder with a firearm, according to a news release from the Office of the State Attorney, First Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Homicide investigation in Mobile follows shooting death

Shybri Steverson faces life in prison after an Escambia County jury found him guilty.

Steverson shot Guy Dixon, Jr., on Nov. 1, 2023, at 2305 W. Blount Street in Pensacola. Prior to the shooting, Steverson and Dixon had a conversation about a missing package.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case and made the arrest while Assistant State Attorney Andrew McGraw prosecuted.
