As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, residents of Broward County are reminded of the various closures and service adjustments taking place. Governmental offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 27 – 28, but emergency and essential services will still be available to some extent. For those in need of county information, the 311 Call Center will not be open, as detailed in an announcement on the county’s website. While branches of the Broward County Library system will be closed, their extensive digital resources remain accessible at all times, allowing for the streaming and downloading of various media.
Outdoors enthusiasts will find that with the exception of a few locations including Butterfly World and Deerfield Island Park, Broward County’s parks will remain open on Thanksgiving Day. The day after, only the Target Range at Markham Park and administrative offices will be closed, as per the county announcement.
