Temperatures are dropping across the Hudson Valley, and while many residents are winterizing their homes, the New York Attorney General is reminding New Yorkers about their rights when it comes to heating their residence.
The reminder is especially timely as one of the area’s most prominent utility companies, Central Hudson, initiated the first phase of a 3-year rate increase less than two months ago. As the Attorney General shared, there are several state protections in place to help assure that no one is left in the cold.
