Heritage High students walk out in protest of recent ICE activity across the Triangle

A large group of Heritage High School students briefly left class Thursday morning to protest recent immigration enforcement activity reported across the Triangle.

Administrators said about 175 students walked out of the building shortly after 9 a.m., gathering near Forestville Road and the school’s baseball field. The demonstration lasted roughly 45 minutes before students returned to campus.
