Reports: Five Teens Injured In Simultaneous crashes On I-95 Sunday

A pair of crashes on Interstate 95 in Wilmington sent five teenagers to the hospital Sunday evening according to initial reports, causing heavy backups in both directions.

The first collision was reported just before 6:20 p.m. on I-95 southbound at Lower Beech Street. Crews from the Five Points Fire Company responded and found a motor vehicle accident with two teens injured.

Minutes later, dispatchers received a report of a second crash on I-95 northbound in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Wilmington Fire Department personnel responded at the northbound scene, where rescue crews reportedly found three injured teens…
