OAK GROVE, Ark. – Arkansas State Police used a maneuver by a trooper’s patrol vehicle to end a pursuit on Saturday.
Officials said the trooper used a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver by hitting the fleeing suspect’s pickup with his patrol vehicle. Officials said the pickup driver veered off the road and hit a tree due to the TVI.

The 17-year-old driver was fleeing after an attempted Highway 84 traffic stop, officials added. The driver was taken to CHI Hot Springs for treatment of injuries from his crash.
