Local Police Respond to Over 1,100 Calls in 72 Hours, Handle Multiple Arrests and Disturbances

Between 6:00 a.m. on November 21 and 6:00 a.m. on November 24, 2025, local law enforcement responded to 1,115 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or accidental 911 calls. The East district received the most calls at 221. Central had 202, Midtown 192, North 171, West 167, South 132, and 30 calls were listed as ‘Other.’ The ‘Other’ category covers incidents outside city sectors or those involving assistance to other agencies.

During this 72-hour period, officers responded to several incidents. On Friday, November 21, from 5:14 p.m. to 7:41 p.m., the department handled only urgent calls due to a high volume of requests.

Earlier that day, at 8:10 a.m. in the West district, officers arrested a 58-year-old man for felony retail theft and multiple counts of bail jumping. He was found trespassing at a Target store with a cart of stolen goods. The suspect had been banned from the property and was also violating bail conditions related to alcohol possession…
