Two Dead in Fiery Crash After Driver Runs Red Light in South Phoenix

Tragedy struck in South Phoenix when a high-speed collision occurred at Central Avenue and Baseline Road, leading to a fire that claimed two lives. FOX 10 Phoenix reports that the incident took place at approximately 1:37 a.m. on Nov. 22, after a driver, who later showed signs of impairment, ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle. The collision resulted in both cars catching fire near a light rail platform.

The suspected driver’s erratic travel at alarming speeds let to the devastating scene. Phoenix police officers, originally observing from a distance, were met with flames and destruction as they approached, with two vehicles stopped at the light rail station.
