Driver arrested following 100 mph chase in stolen vehicle

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A man was arrested Thursday after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

Ryan W. Croson, 36, reached speeds of 100 mph on Interstate 90 before being taken into custody, deputies said. He faces felony charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and attempting to elude police.

The incident began at 5:45 a.m. when a deputy noticed a Volkswagen with fraudulent plates, according to police reports. Croson fled during the traffic stop, driving recklessly without headlights, authorities said…
