ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – A woman from Troy was sentenced to up to 4 years in prison for not taking her anti-seizure medication and causing a deadly head-on crash.
Jacklyn Parker, 25, had previously pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide for her role in the crash that happened just after 5 p.m. on Aug. 19 on River Road in the town of Selkirk.
Parker’s vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Colleen Selkirk, 60, of Hannacroix. Selkirk has a history of epileptic seizures, according to the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
