Hampton child with rare genetic disorder could help autism research

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — It hides behind symptoms of autism, a silent syndrome, and only a few dozen people in the world are known to have it, but researchers expect the real number of those with Marbach Schaaf syndrome is way higher, since not much is known about it.

A Hampton family just found out their daughter lives with it, and now, she is poised to help those with the same diagnosis, and potentially many other people, with autism.
