EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso man was sentenced on Monday, Nov. 24, in a federal court to four years in prison for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office with the Western District of Texas.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says on Jan. 20, Leland Alexander Drumheller, 20, sent a text message to his ex-girlfriend asking her to return his sweatshirt.
The two met inside Drumheller’s vehicle in front of the ex-girlfriend’s apartment. During the interaction, Drumheller became angry and grabbed his ex-girlfriend, preventing her from exiting the vehicle as he drove away towards Chaparral, New Mexico, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said…
