Green Bay Police Department urges caution on roads ahead of potential wintry mix

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – With a wintry mix forecasted to fall this week during the Thanksgiving holiday, Green Bay police are urging drivers to be cautious out on the roads.

According to a release from the Green Bay Police Department, between Tuesday, November 25, and Thursday, November 27, an expected increase in travelers and a forecasted wintry mix is making officials remind drivers of the ‘Steer It, Clear It’ law.

Officials say drivers should be cautious out on the roads, but anyone who does unfortunately get into a minor crash is being asked to remember that “if you can steer it, clear it,” meaning if no one is hurt and the vehicle can be driven, drivers should steer their car to the side of the road and out of the way of traffic…
