NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to solve a car theft case that also includes the use of at least one stolen bank card. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, the car theft happened in the 6000 block of Vicksburg Street in Lakeview on Tuesday, Nov. 18, around 8:45 in the evening. Police say that within about 15 minutes, whoever stole the car had dumped it at Mexico Street and Allen Toussaint Boulevard.
Also, about 30 minutes after the theft, police say security camera footage from a convenience store shows someone using a bank card that was also stolen along with the car. The NOPD released security camera footage from the store, in the 4300 block of Louisa Street.
