El Paso County man turns driveway into free food pantry, receives international support

PEYTON, Colo. (KKTV) -A Peyton man running a 24-hour food pantry out of his driveway said the demand has grown far beyond what he initially expected.

Dustin Story, who started the pantry earlier this month, told 11 News he launched “Feeding Rural Colorado” with just three plastic totes and a hand-painted sign. The pantry served its first visitors within hours, and Story said it has been busy ever since.

“For the first 16 days we didn’t have a shed at all, everything sat outside until volunteers donated one and installed it on November 16,” Story said…
