Voters provided the money to install air conditioning in all Poudre School District schools with passage of the 2024 debt-free schools mill levy, but the installation of those systems at the 30 PSD schools without air conditioning will take more than 15 years at the current rate of progress.
With no immediate relief in sight, the district is hoping to mitigate Colorado’s typical mid-August heat with a slightly later start to the school year.
