Birmingham family says service dog was shot in front of home

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A Birmingham family said its daughter’s diabetic service dog was shot in front of its home earlier in November.

The family said the shooting happened around 3 p.m. Nov. 15. The dog survived with major injuries.

The Morris family said it’s shocked by what happened. The family said it still doesn’t know exactly how its dog was shot, but now it is dealing with a long road to recovery…
