16-year-old leads deputies on chase in stolen car through North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A 16-year-old was was taken into custody Monday after they led police on a chase through North Charleston in a stolen vehicle, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident report states that at approximately 7:59 p.m. on Nov. 24, deputies were patrolling in the area of Spruill Avenue, searching for a freshly reported stolen vehicle.

Deputies reportedly spotted the stolen red 2022 Dodge Challenger pulling up to the front of the B&M Family Mart. As deputies attempted to enter the parking lot, the Challenger turned off its headlights and began driving down Proctor Street…
