NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –Thanksgiving came early in North Charleston as volunteers, community leaders, and local organizations came together to give back to their community.
Monday morning, North Charleston Police Department handed out 350 free turkeys and served hot meals to take home. Officers and volunteers started cooking early in the morning to greet families with a frozen turkey and warm meal.
Later in the afternoon, hundreds of cars lined up at the Charleston County School District 4 Regional Stadium for their free turkey and groceries for the holiday week…
