On November 24, 2025, the Durham Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) held a regular session at the BOCC Chambers at 200 E. Main Street in Durham, North Carolina. The meeting allowed both in-person and hybrid participation. Chair Nida Allam called the meeting to order. Commissioner Wendy Jacobs led the Pledge of Allegiance. The agenda proceeded as planned. The Board presented the 2025 State of the County Address. Commissioners approved the minutes from the previous session on November 10, 2025. Announcements included the closure of most Durham County Government offices for Thanksgiving on November 27 and 28. Offices will reopen on December 1. The Board announced community initiatives. These include a call for facilitators and entrepreneurial support organizations for the Invest Forward cohort program, which will begin in early 2026. The program, organized by Forward Cities, will have two tracks: Start Up for early-stage founders and Accelerator for growth-stage businesses. Applications are open until November 30, 2025.
