When violence upends a Harrisburg neighborhood, they knock on doors

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Harrisburg’s Group Violence Intervention program, or GVI, is working to combat gang and gun violence in the capital city.

“I think it’s important we show the community that we care,” Derrick James, a Harrisburg-area pastor who participates in the initiative, said.
