HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A Texas-based technology company demonstrated its drone-based school safety system at Alabama A&M University on Monday, showing law enforcement officials, school administrators, and Congressman Dale Strong how autonomous aircraft could respond to active shooter situations within seconds.
Campus Guardian Angel’s system uses drones stored in secure boxes across campus that deploy immediately when a credible threat is confirmed. The drones are designed to break windows, deploy pepper rounds and communicate with responding officers while engaging a shooter before police arrive.
