KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Knoxville mother is grieving after her 19-year-old daughter was killed in a crash on the entrance ramp to I-40 East from Hall of Fame Drive early Friday morning.
KPD has identified the woman killed in the crash as 19-year-old Melody Williams. Her mother, Melanie McAllister, told 6 News it’s almost impossible to put into words what she’s feeling as a mother grieving the loss of her daughter far too soon.

“My world is not the same…without Melody. Melody was the glue. I am going to miss her so much,” said McAllister.
McAllister says she woke up feeling uneasy Thursday night, unsure where her daughter was, believing Melody had stayed at her grandmother’s. But Friday morning, a text from KPD immediately stood out, and she sensed something was wrong…
