Update: Wind advisory in place for 17 Michigan counties for Wednesday and Thursday

At 10:03 p.m. EST on Tuesday, the National Weather Service released an updated wind advisory valid from Wednesday 7 a.m. EST until Thursday 7 a.m. EST for Lake, Osceola, Clare, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm, Gratiot, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties.

The weather service adds, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
