Teen Sentenced to 25 Years After Drive-By Shooting Into Loganville Home

Walton County, GA — A 17-year-old will serve prison time as an adult after admitting to a drive-by shooting that sent multiple rounds into a Loganville home, including a child’s bedroom.

Last week, Savion Jones pleaded guilty to Drive-by Shooting, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, First- and Second-Degree Criminal Damage to Property, and two counts of Theft by Taking.

The charges stem from December 13, 2024, when Jones, then 16, stole a family member’s car and firearm and drove to a neighborhood in unincorporated Loganville. Around 11:30 p.m., he fired nine rounds toward a residence. Several bullets struck the house, two of which entered a child’s bedroom. Two vehicles parked outside were also hit.
