MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department battled a large fire on St. Stephens Road this afternoon.
Authorities say the blaze involved a vacant building next to Rodgers Bar-B-Q at 2350 St. Stephens Road. Officials say the building was fully engulfed but the restaurant suffered minor damage.
Mobile police say everyone in the restaurant made it out safely.
The burned building appears to be a total loss according to be a total loss, according to Blake Brown, public affairs manager for the city of Mobile Public Safety. Crews are expected to remain on the scene for a while to put out any lingering hotspots, he said…
