Time is running out for UnitedHealthcare patients at The Villages Health

PLEASE come to a contract agreement now! Ongoing negotiations are having a negative impact on the wellbeing of UnitedHealthcare patients within The Villages Health system, particularly the elderly and vulnerable!

Prior to the letter dated Nov. 7 that was sent to patients of The Villages Health (from Mr. Trinh) which included the fact that a contract had not yet be reached between CenterWell and UnitedHealthcare, the community at large was continually assured that the sale of the eight primary care centers and two specialty care centers (which serves approximately 25,000 UnitedHealthcare patients of the total 55,000 patients currently being served) would be seamless. Patients were assured that they would have continued access to their health insurance providers and that they could expect their patient care to remain the same. In addition, patients were promised that they would not notice any changes to their services.

The Villages is a community of residents that care for one another. In particular, it is a community that has a deep compassion for the elderly and vulnerable. Many, if not most of the 25,000 UnitedHealthcare patients that utilize The Villages Health are elderly and/or vulnerable. These patients have been put into a “panic limbo,”causing them stress, anxiety and frustration. These “patients” are our friends, our neighbors and all those that live within this community that we care so much about. Their wellbeing is being negatively impacted.
