Rochester man pleads guilty related to bank fraud scheme involving stolen checks

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 26-year-old man pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud related to stolen checks from U.S. Postal Service mailboxes in Rochester.

Prosecutors say between March and September 2023, Sheldon Marquis Adams, 26, worked with others to get hundreds of checks stolen from postal service mailboxes.
