Police: Felon in U.S. illegally arrested after firing ‘ghost gun’ in Irondequoit

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man police say is in the United States illegally and is a three-time convicted felon was arrested late Monday night after allegedly firing a gun behind an Irondequoit gas station and fleeing on foot.

Irondequoit police responded to the Kwik Fill on E. Ridge Road just after 11 p.m. after receiving a report of a man shooting a gun behind the business. Officers found evidence of gunfire and learned the suspect had run east on Ridge Road.

A New York State Police K9 team began tracking the suspect, and an Irondequoit officer soon spotted a man matching the description near 1733 E. Ridge Road.
