High-wind forecast prompts Turnpike restrictions, power-outage alert

High winds forecast for Wednesday and Thursday in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan prompted the Ohio Turnpike to ban “high-profile” vehicles.

The Toledo area’s primary electric utility said it is prepared for wind damage to power lines.
