JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Summer Horton has a passion for reading.
“I just love learning stuff, especially American Sign Language. You get to use your hands a lot, and it’s just fun,” she said.
Summer, a fifth grader at Bailey APAC Middle School, is among those competing in Jackson Public Schools’ annual district reading fair. Students first participate in reading fairs at their individual schools. The best projects advance to the district level reading fair.
