ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – Manufacturing and welding students at Ashwaubenon High School put their skills on full display by creating a series of giant custom snowflakes that will soon be featured at the NEW Zoo.
The students spent several weeks designing, cutting, and welding the snowflakes, giving them a chance to apply what they’ve learned in class to a real-world project.
“They did great. I showed them how to make the first one and then they pretty much just took off. They divvied up the tasks, all of them were working, and it was awesome. It was great to see,” said Jonathan Butler, Ashwaubenon High School Tech Ed teacher.
Through the project, students also learned the importance of giving back to their community…
