Lafayette man found guilty of 2021 domestic murder charge

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. (KLFY) — A Lafayette man is set to be sentenced for the second-degree murder of a woman in St. Martin Parish, back in 2021.

Linus Shelvin, 57, of Lafayette, was convicted of second-degree murder on Saturday in connection to a 2021 domestic homicide. Officials said Shelvin killed his girlfriend, Nicole Hamilton, and disposed of her body off Mills Highway in Breaux Bridge.
