New Millcreek city councilmember appointed to fill gap left by interim mayor

MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4) — Nicole Handy has been appointed to the Millcreek City Council District 3 seat, effective today.

Earlier this year, Millcreek’s first mayor Jeff Silvestrini announced his retirement in order to spend time with his family and to focus on ongoing personal health issues. Silvestrini retired on Nov. 10, and his replacement was chosen on Nov. 3 during a city council meeting.

Cheri Jackson, who was a Millcreek city councilmember prior to her appointment, was unanimously voted in by the other councilmembers to finish out the remaining two years of Silvestrini’s term…
