TRUCKEE, Calif. — A man who died after a semitruck crashed earlier this month near the Nevada state line has been identified.
Prabhjot Singh, 32, of North Hollywood, died after the solo big rig crash around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, along westbound Interstate 80 east of Hirschdale Road, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office. It happened about four miles west of the Nevada state line.
Singh was driving a 2020 International in the No. 2 lane when, for unknown reasons, he drifted onto the right shoulder, crashed into the guardrail and went down a dirt embankment, per the California Highway Patrol’s Truckee office. The collision caused the cab to overturn on its roof…
