BOZEMAN, Mont. — A Gallatin County judge sentenced Christopher Foiles to 60 years in prison with no possibility of parole on Tuesday for the December 2023 killing of his girlfriend, Megan Stedman, in a Bozeman Walmart parking lot.
District Judge Rienne H. McElyea handed down the sentence shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Foiles, a Spokane, Washington, resident, pleaded guilty in October to murder in Montana, resolving the case in Gallatin County District Court.
