LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Newly released body camera footage shows the moments leading up to Las Vegas Metro police shooting a man accused of attempted carjacking.
On Sunday, Nov. 23, around 12:25 p.m. Las Vegas police responded to a report of an attempted robbery and carjacking in an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Indian River Drive near West Harmon Avenue and South Decatur Boulevard.

The first victim was driving through the apartment complex when the suspect, identified as Wade David Griffith, 38, approached the moving vehicle and said that he was going to take it. Griffith then pulled a knife from his bag, at which point the victim began to drive away, but not before Griffith stabbed the vehicle with the knife, police said during a press conference Tuesday.
Griffith then continued to walk through the complex and approached a group of people who were working to repair a car in the area. Griffith “demanded” that they give him a vehicle and when they didn’t, he entered one of the vehicles and began to rummage through it, police said.
One of the victims then pulled him out of the vehicle, and Griffith pulled out a large knife from a backpack. Griffith then continued to make his way to the front of the complex, police said…
