Powerful winds knock out power in Northeast Ohio

(WJW) — Ahead of the incoming winter weather, wind is already causing problems in Northeast Ohio.

FirstEnergy has reported thousands of outages in Cuyahoga County, across both Cleveland’s east and west sides, and in Summit County.

As of 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, FirstEnergy had reported 2,116 outages in Cuyahoga County, mostly in Cleveland Heights, and 1,543 outages in Summit County, mostly in Akron.

Cleveland Public Power also reported as many as 500 outages between the city’s Broadway-Slavic Village and Union-Miles neighborhoods…
