The Big Story

North Carolina residents have endured lengthy waits at state Division of Motor Vehicles offices. The average wait time in October was almost an hour and a half versus about two hours over the course of the year.

The DMV is hoping to drop those wait times to an average of 15 minutes and has presented a five-year plan to improve operational flow and customer experience across its offices.
