Montgomery County Supervisors deny 35-acre expansion of dump site

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors denied the expansion of a dump site to almost five-times its current size.

The site, near Village Lane and U.S. Route 460, currently holds an eight-acre fill site that owner Black Diamond was looking to increase to 43 acres. They also wanted to add a contractor storage yard. Locals voiced concerns about mud, dust, and debris impacting their neighborhood and storm water drainage.
