Iowa’s first affordable homeownership program debuts in Des Moines

A nonprofit focused on reducing barriers to homeownership and ensuring permanent home affordability is making its debut in central Iowa.

In the works since 2022, the nonprofit Central Iowa Community Land Trust (CICLT) will acquire property across the Des Moines metro with the goal of keeping the homes that sit on them affordable, even when sold to the next buyer.
