EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A group of farmers and agricultural workers from Chihuahua blocked the cargo lanes at the Ysleta-Zaragoza International Bridge on Monday morning, Nov. 24, halting truck traffic mainly from the maquiladora industry, according to KTSM crews in Juarez.
This group was protesting against a proposed federal water law that would give the Mexican government control over all wells currently used for agriculture and livestock.
