Former St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Deputy who killed her husband loses appeal

NEW ORLEANS, La. (KLFY) — A former St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Deputy who pleaded guilty to killing her husband has lost the appeal of her conviction, court records show.

Chrystal Clues-Alexander was sentenced to 21 years in prison in 2023 for murdering her husband, Kendall Alexander.

In a 4-3 vote, the Louisiana Supreme Court rejected Clues’ appeal in a decision released Tuesday. Chief Justice John L. Weimer and justices Cade Cole, William Crain and Jay McCallum voted to deny the appeal, and justices Jefferson Hughes, Piper Griffin and John Guidry voted to grant it…
