Springfield police urge safety ahead of Wild Turkey Wednesday celebrations

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – With one day left before Thanksgiving, many will celebrate early Wednesday night during Wild Turkey Wednesday, and Springfield police remind revelers about safety and planning ahead.

The unofficial start to the Thanksgiving holiday brings crowds to local bars and pubs, creating a busy nights for establishments.

“I mean, it’s a good night. It’s a great night every night. I mean, it’s a night where bartenders want to work because it’s a good, busy night,” said Grady Wisdom, owner of The Flea.
