Police investigating ‘suspicious’ shooting after man found unresponsive inside car

AURORA, Colo. — An investigation is underway for what police are calling a “suspicious shooting” after a man was found unresponsive inside a vehicle Tuesday night, according to a release from the Aurora Police Department.

Just before 8:50 p.m., officers found the man behind the wheel of a white Acura at East Smith Road and North Chambers Road, the release said. The victim, who had reportedly suffered a gunshot wound, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
