Stolen car chase at high speeds ends with arrest in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Police Department (SVPD) arrested a man who allegedly stole a car and tried to flee from police on Thursday, Nov. 20.

SVPD says a deputy was doing crime prevention patrols in the 6300 block of East Broadway Avenue around 5:45 a.m., when he noticed a man driving a “suspicious vehicle,” a dark-colored Volkswagen Golf, with no front license plate. The deputy talked to the driver, but he ended up driving away and the deputy got the back license plate.

The deputy says they checked the license plate and it was registered to a 1988 Acura Integra. The deputy also says they chased the car down and found 36-year-old Ryan W. Croson at a red light at North Thierman Road and Broadway…
