Arts field trips combat absenteeism for Arizona students

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – With school absences reaching record highs in Arizona, a local nonprofit is motivating students with free field trips.

Act One has helped 400,000 students experience in-person field trips. Research from Brigham Young University shows arts and culture field trips keep kids in school. Students in the study also had fewer behavioral issues and higher grades.
